Our school wide Book Drive ended last Friday and the final count is in....1455 books donated! Seriously, that is awesome! I was thinking that if we got around 500 that would be great. But I totally wasn't expecting the amount that was donated. Our librarian has gone through the books and restocked her shelves, now it's the the teachers turn and then our students will have a chance to look through them. Thank you so much!
This is the PTA closet holding strong before the final count. It was one of those things where if you opened the door too fast, you would be buried by books.
Thanks to Becky Jex, our Literacy Coordinator and Kristin Willis, our Librarian for all their help with the Book Drive.
Congrats to the 5th graders who donated the most books, the 6th grade wasn't too far behind!
