Valley View made their 2nd appearance in the Strawberry Days Parade last Saturday to the cheering of thousands (okay, maybe hundreds) of screaming fans. We were #5 in line, right behind Mr. Schoonover and his wife LeAnn, who were the Grand Marshall's.
The kids donned their Valley View colors as we sprayed their hair for some school spirit as well.
Jackson a.k.a "Pogo Boy" (as many spectators called him) made his way down the entire parade route on his pogo stick.
The kids painted these awesome signs.
Some walked, others rode in the truck and a few pedaled away on their bikes.
The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. We have been the only elementary school for the past 2 years to participate in the parade, which I think is awesome because being around for 45 years and all, we kind of have a following! It may be time to invest in a float. I'm just sayin'...
