We had a wonderful Veterans Day assembly last Friday.
We were honored to have one of the last surviving soldiers from Pearl Harbor speak to the school.
Mrs. Allmon deservingly received a Teacher of the Year Award
from the Veterans organization.
Mr. Schoonover received a medal from the Veterans organization as well for his service. 5th grade student, Kylie Rice read a patriotic poem to the students.
A special group of 6th grade boy scouts proudly presented the colors.
We also had a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled banner sung by a group of students, a beautiful video about our flag and a wonderful performance in sign language of the National Anthem by Mrs. Gourley's class. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this a special day in honor of our Veterans!
