We learned about Picasso, Matisse, Da Vinci, Van Gogh and more...but our real masters were our students whose art was proudly displayed at the first ever Valley View Art Show on Friday, May 11th. It was an amazing event thanks to Tori Merrill, our art teachers (parent volunteers) and the PTA who funded the program with money brought in from our Hawk Pass fundraiser and carnival.
This is what happens when a parent has a passion and shares it with others!

Our 5th and 6th grade student council kids donned their Sunday best and greeted guests at the door, answered questions and served cookies.
Our current PTA Presidents, Debbie Stott and Stephanie Rice were huge supporters of the art program.

Over 1200 pieces of artwork covered the walls of the auditorium. It was an amazing sight!
The students learned about Great Artists during the year and then interpreted their artwork to create a masterpiece.
We are so excited to have new art curriculum ready to go for next year!
